Panaji

Panaiji is easy to reach and people come here by air, rail, road. All private airlines and public airlines operate their services from major airports of India. Jet Airways, Sahara Airlines offer services from Mumbai (Maharashtra) and Bangalore.

Panaiji is also connected with the Indira Gandhi airport of Delhi other airports like Chennai, Mangalore, Trivandrum and Cochin. Travelers can also reach Panaiji by trains which run from Delhi, Pune, Secunderabad and Jaipur. Margao is the nearest station of Panaiji.  Three states transport buses operates to Panaiji’s Kadamba bus station.

Largo Da Igreja Church Square – Along with basking in the beauty of this Portuguese baroque style church you can also visit Jama Masjid and Mahalakshmi Temple.
Fontainhas – this Old Portuguese quarter lies west of Pato. You will see red-roofed cottages along the sides of Altinho hill.

St Sebastian Chap el - at the end of a small square, this chapel stands lofty and unblemished. It houses religious relics including the image of Our Lady of Livramento, the Confraria and the Crucifix of the Inquisition.

Sao Tomé – this is a true hub of taverns, tiny pubs and bars.
State Archaeological Museum – this huge building houses a collection of colonial artifacts, temple relics, prehistoric rock carvings and elegant Jain bronzes.
Miramar - 3 km west along the Mandovi River, this beach attracts thousands of tourists.
Bambolim – this minor beach is 7 km from Panaji.
Dona Paula - 9 km southwest of Panaji, this beach is enveloped with palms and casuarinas. It offers water sports facilities, especially water scootering.

To reach Tours To Panaji city you need to come to Goa's airport at Dabolim which is 29 km south of Panaji. Chartered flights from Europe and major Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Thiruvanthapuram and Kochi come here. Besides, the nearby railhead is at Vasco da Gama which is 30 km from Panaji. Trains come in here from Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Also Kadamba Bus Stand is located 1 km to the east of the main square.
