Shravanabelagola : Toward the south east of Hassan at a distance of 31 km is situated one of the most important Jain Pilgrimage centre.

Thousands of devotees gather at this place to perform the Mahamastakabhisheka ceremony held once in every 12 years. Belur : Belur, 38 km from Hassan is located on the banks of the Yagachi river. It was once the all important capital of the Hoysala empire which ruled the southern territory in the period between 11th to 14th century. The place is unforgettable for the Exquisite temples.
One of the famous temples located there is the Chennakeshava Temple decorated with intricate sculptures and friezes. Mural paintings of Elephants, dancers in various poses are to be seen there.
The filigree pillars are even more attractive in its design. Nearby is the Veeranarayana Temple which too attracts a lot of attention from the visitors.
